Titus 3

Godly Living

1 aRemind them bto be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be cready for every good deed, 2to malign no one, dto be peaceable, egentle, fshowing every consideration for all men. 3 gFor we also once were foolish ourselves, hdisobedient, ideceived, jenslaved to kvarious lusts and pleasures, spending our life in lmalice and menvy, hateful, hating one another. 4But when the nkindness of oGod our Savior and His love for mankind pappeared, 5 qHe saved us, rnot on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but saccording to His mercy, by the twashing of regeneration and urenewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 vwhom He poured out upon us wrichly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that being justified by His grace we would be made xheirs
Or of eternal life according to hope
according to the hope of eternal life.
8 zThis is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I aawant you to speak confidently, so that those who have abbelieved God will be careful to acengage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. 9But adavoid aefoolish controversies and afgenealogies and strife and agdisputes about the Law, for they are ahunprofitable and worthless. 10 aiReject a ajfactious man akafter a first and second warning, 11knowing that such a man is alperverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.
